1. Find out what packing materials you need
Contact your removal company or your local DIY store and make a list of all the packing materials you need, such as the different sized boxes, tape and labels. Always try to use high-quality strong packing boxes and go for a home moving kit that includes bubble wrap. We suggest you begin packing well in advance of your move. Ensure you label your boxes with the room you want them placed in your new home and contain fragile items. Also, try to be as specific with labels such as "Cutlery" as this makes things easier when unpacking. In terms of valuables such as jewellery we suggest you transport these with you personally rather than adding them to a box.
2. Throw out the junk
It's easy to hoard goods and clutter your home over the years, but now is an excellent time to eliminate the bits and bobs that have piled up over the years that you will no longer need. Carefully consider If you will use any items and if in doubt, then throw them out. Make a box for items you don't want to take with you and can be donated to charity or recycled.
3. Arrange storage for items you want to keep but don't have the space

10. Clean your new house before you move in
The day of the move can be very hectic with boxes piling up everywhere, and therefore, you may not have time to clean the new property. So, it's a good idea to clean the house before the move day.
11. Ensure parking outside the property is available
